What are the odds? After this week’s posts on World Cup mascot Stumpy and Willow TV offering a new monthly subscription, today I stumble onto a duo called Willow and Stumpy.

Willow and Stumpy are Sky Sports’ cartoon characters, who are “expected to be popular with youngsters and those new to the game”.

Willow and Stumpy explain “various cricketing phrases” – such as “no ball” and “reverse swing”.

Willow and Stumpy probably haven’t been part of the Sky Sports cricket team for a while now, seeing how Andrew Flintoff plays a big part in several episodes. Nonetheless, I don’t think I ever saw a better explanation on reverse swing.
