Pakistan legend Imran Khan talks politics, cricket and womanizing skills

I came across this video of Imran Khan being interviewed for CNN’s Connector of the Day series in february of this year.

Not exactly recent, but seeing how in Pakistan both politics and cricket seem to be in constant disarray, Khan’s views on these subjects remain actual and relevant.

A different ballgame: Cricket in the Trobriand Islands

This is one my favorite cricket videos on YouTube. I really love how the people of the Trobiand Islands have taken cricket and made into something that is still recognizable, but also completely different from the game we know, play and watch.

I have never seen the complete documentary, just this sort introduction, but would really like to watch the whole thing. If you happen to know if and where that is possible, please leave a comment. :)

A video of a Jack Hobbs' masterclass

Finding a topic to write about is getting far to easy thanks to The Spin, the weekly email newsletter by Andy Bull from the Guardian.

Last week he treated us to a little gem with a short clip of WG Grace batting, this week he found a masterclass by Jack Hobbs.

There is hardly a soul in the British Empire who does not know of England’s greatest Cricketer… Jack Hobbs.

Watch the clip at the British Pathé website.

If you don’t want to read about Bull’s future finds on this blog, just sign up for The Spin yourself.
